Our Story

I was in elementary school when my parents bought their first home in the US. It was then I started learning about the beauty and importance of interiors. Natural light, well placed furniture and a balanced color palette felt intuitive to me.

As the child of Bangladeshi immigrant scientists, I was encouraged to take a traditional career path. And I did for about 15 years, working in various roles spanning foreign policy, management consulting and global health. 

I was always pursuing creative and interiors projects on the side. Things like renovating houses I lived in, helping friends furnish and design their places or hunting endlessly for a needle in the haystack for the most striking pieces.  

Around the time I turned 30, I reached a turning point, leaving behind the trappings of a perfect-on-paper life, including a city, a marriage and a long misaligned career path. 

I realized I lost time hunting for those special pieces for my home or others. One particular search had me calling in a favor with one of my best friends who lived in Florida. I spotted an amazing chunky $10 lamp that would complete my kitchen renovation. The seller would only accept cash and was located in a remote part of the state. My friend offered to drive the 4 hours round trip (she is the literal best) and soon after, she had a storage room full of my Florida picks. I flew down and finished out the haul and Line Curve Living was born in fall of 2021.  

I still enjoy the hunt most, though meeting amazing humans through this business has been a very close second. 

As a queer woman of color, I truly believe everyone deserves to be surrounded by beauty and we all bring a unique perspective to the spaces we jointly inhabit. Thank you so much for being along for the journey.
